Suffolk Enterprise Business Support is pleased to be able to offer business support to other small and medium enterprises, particularly those from the third sector (voluntary and community groups, charitieand especially social enterprises).

Suffolk Enterprise Business Support is also has the knowledge and experience to help public sector agencies planning for and supporting small business and social enterprises. This work can range from full-scale research exercises involving fieldwork through to successfully reaching and engaging with these enterprises, in a meaningful way.

When you're an owner/proprietor/director setting up or running a "micro-enterprise" - one with less than 10 full-time employees - you can't be an expert in all business matters. Whether you're struggling or successful, there will be strains. To relieve the sress, why not call in someone who's "been there, done that, got the T-shirt" to provide a short burst of "rocket fuel" to help you out? Someone who'll come to you, when it suits you and talk through the issues and challenges and help you begin to see, plan and implement a way forward?

With over 30 years of business expertise and experience, ranging from small start-ups to global corporates, and potentially with additional associates, I offer specialist buiness support in:

Coaching, Mentoring and Training

Research / Monitoring / Evaluation ( both qualitative and quantitative, including major surveys)

Business Planning/ Funding Bids

Business Development

Project Management

Sales & Marketing

Internet and Online Multimedia Applications (including complete web solutions, in association with newdawnmedia)

All this comes to you with a unique blend of experience and understanding of the private sector, the public sector and the third sector.

Business support can be offered through coaching, mentoring, training and consultancy.

Suffolk Enterprise Business Support  aims to be responsive, friendly, understanding, helpful and inexpensive.

Additional business support for Social Enterprise: Business Link Vouchers

These vouchers subsidise the cost of specialist consultancy support for new and existing social enterprises. This cost has long been a barrier for social enterprises wishing to benefit from some forms of expert advice to assist their enterprise.

If you are starting a social enterprise

Those setting up a social enterprise will now not only be able to benefit from the two existing Business Link start up vouchers (worth a total of £200) but also a further social enterprise voucher worth £130.  In addition to this, SEEE members will be able to receive an extra £130 voucher to use towards business consultancy fees. This will give start up social enterprises up to £460 worth of one to one business support in addition to Business Link’s free start up workshop programme.

If you are an existing social enterprise

A Business Link Social Enterprise Adviser will be able to diagnose your support needs and, where one to one consultancy support is required, can provide you with vouchers and details of consultants, such as Suffolk Enterprise Business Support, who can help you. The support provided by the Business Link Adviser is free of charge.

Trading social enterprises will be able to access up to 3 Business Link vouchers (worth £130 each) and SEEE members will be able to claim a further £130 voucher on top of these.

The initial consultation – to understand your issues – is free. So contact us now – you have nothing to lose and possibly a great deal to gain!
